Susan Young

Susan Young is a graduate of Georgia Tech with a Bachelor’s of Mechanical Engineering, and has been working as a Computer Programmer/Analyst for the last 20 years. As such, she tends to be very analytical in her thinking.

Susan says, "God drew me back to him in the early 1990’s as my first marriage was failing. I began attending Beaches Chapel at that time. Then in 1995, I fell into a deep depression due to the end of that marriage and divorce. God healed me of the depression over the course of the next 5 years, through caring Christian counsel, classes taught by Joyce Shelton, and participation in other outreach ministries recommended by staff at Beaches Chapel. I am now married to a wonderful man, and we are very happy. The time has come to give back to God by helping others who are hurting. I believe that God has comforted me, and others who volunteer with Women of Excellence ministry, ‘so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.’ (2 Corinthians 1:4) "

Dan Young

Dan Young became a Christian in 1982, when God delivered him from many things, including perfectionism and addictions.

Dan says, "God gave me an interest in W.O.E. Ministry when I heard about the Becomers Class. Unfortunately it was a women’s only ministry. I was blessed to attend the Boundaries Class last year, when it offered a coed program.

In1970 I graduated from Hershey High School in NE. I have attended a few hours of classes at FCCJ before attending classes with W.O.E. Ministry.

Last year I rode in the 'PGA Tour, MS 150 Cycle to the Shore,' a bicycle ride from St. Augustine, FL to Daytona Beach, FL to raise money for the fight against Muscular Sclerosis. This year I was on the injured reserve list but was able to participate as a volunteer.

Beaches Chapel Church has been my home church since 1982 where I have volunteered as a mentor in the Lawtey Prison Ministry program from 2002 to 2006 and with the 'Learn to Read' ministry program in 2006 & 2007."

Pam Ferrelli

Pam Ferrelli is a member of Beaches Chapel and has been affiliated with Women of Excellence since 2005. She is currently working on her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biblical Counseling.

Pam says: "One of my favorite scriptures is John 5:8 'Then Jesus said to the man, Get up! Pick up your mat and walk'. where Jesus was told the invalid man that the pool was not the source of his healing but the Living Water of Jesus was. This was important to me because I was 38 years old when I surrendered my life to God. I too had to learn and am still learning that no one can do it for me. Not even me. I’ve had to learn to surrender all and trust in Jesus for my healing. God has a plan for each and every one of us, but we must take an active role in achieving that life plan. God has planted a seed in my heart to yearn for more of him and to help other hurting women.

I encourage you to grow in Christ and become all That HE wants you to be!"

Shelly Pike

Shelly Pike was was born the 9th of 10 children. She invited Jesus to be her saviour at age 8. She was baptized in the Holy Spirit at age 15. As of July 2006, she surrendered completely to the call of God on her life. That call is to love others as Jesus loved when He walked this earth. That call is to facilitate small groups of people who desire to walk in the abundant life that God has for them. That call is to walk alongside hurting people on their journey to wholeness in God.

Shelly says, "As I lives my life one day at a time, my heavenly Father continues to amaze me as He liberally showers me with grace and mercy. As I walk in the blessing of each new day, I look forward to the devine appointments God has prepared for me. My creator has blessed me with His gifts of Faith, Hope and Joy, to mention a few. My hearts desire is the share those gifts with someone every day."
